Classes
- Open Class: Any rifle/caliber/configuration (PRS, benchrest, F-Class, modified factory). Caliber ≤ .30, no steel-core ammo. Rifles >14 lbs (incl. scope/bipod) or not meeting Factory criteria.
- Factory Class: Stock production rifles from approved manufacturers (e.g., Tikka, Bergara, Savage—full list provided). Caliber ≤ .30, no steel-core ammo. Weight <14 lbs (incl. scope/bipod; suppressors excluded). No mods to action, bolt, stock, trigger, barrel (except threading for muzzle device/suppressor). Add-ons like rails/cheek risers via factory points only.
Safety Rules
- Follow range protocols; mandatory ear protection and chamber flags.
- Bolt open/rear at all times when not shooting.
- No steel-core ammo (e.g., M855, M80); chronograph/weight checks at registration.
- No coaching/spotters while on clock.
Disqualifications
- Unsafe/disrespectful behavior.
- Prohibited ammo/equipment.
- Flagging with rifle (loaded/unloaded).
- Firing before cleared.
- Failing to safe rifle before leaving line.
Targets and Setup
- Steel coyote silhouettes, one per distance (200–1,000+ yards, up to 1,400+).
- Prone or bench shooting; RO spotters for hits >900 yards.
Shooting Rules
- Engage one target per stage; first hit advances.
- Shots Allowed:
- 200–500 yds: 4 max.
- 600–800 yds: 5 max.
- 900–1,100 yds: 8 max.
- 1,200+ yds: 10 max.
- Time Limits:
- 200–500 yds: 60 sec.
- 600–800 yds: 90 sec.
- 900+ yds: 120 sec.
- Miss all shots or time out: Eliminated (or $20 buy-back to continue).
Scoring
- Points for first hit only, decreasing per shot:
- 200–500 yds: 1st=4, 2nd=3, 3rd=2, 4th=1.
- 600–800 yds: 1st=5, 2nd=4, 3rd=3, 4th=2, 5th=1.
- 900–1,100 yds: 1st=8 down to 8th=1.
- 1,200+ yds: 1st=10 down to 10th=1.
Execution
- Max rounds: 50 (1,000 yd match), 95 (1,000+); bring extras for buy-backs.
- Relays of 5–10 shooters; grouped distances (e.g., 200/300/400 in first relay).
- For >1,000 yds: Additional relays.
- Finale relay timed for tiebreakers.
